Job description
TGRC has partnered with a UK-based environmental and planning consultancy that offers expert services across various sectors, including renewable energy, infrastructure, and urban development. With a focus on sustainable and environmentally responsible projects, the firm provides services such as ecological assessments, environmental impact assessments (EIA), habitat surveys, and landscape planning. The firm is also known for its work in helping clients navigate complex regulatory frameworks, particularly within the renewable energy sector, where they assist with planning and implementing wind, solar, and hydropower projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Projects / Technical:
Plan and oversee projects to ensure timely and budgeted delivery, maintaining up-to-date project schedules and budgets.
Manage client expectations proactively by regularly communicating project status and progress.
Review technical information to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Conduct technical studies aligned with your experience and expertise.
Contribute to financial budgeting and resource planning, manage project costs, and handle invoicing.
Participate in the preparation and management of bids and tenders.
Regularly assess ongoing and potential projects.
Visit project sites and oversee on-site staff.
Continuously assess risks and liabilities, raising any concerns with management.
Prioritize Health and Safety considerations to minimize risks throughout all project phases.
Adhere to the consulting handbook, relevant Codes of Professional Conduct, and all applicable legal requirements.
Team Working:
Collaborate effectively within the company and project teams, actively communicating and exchanging ideas.
Engage proactively with both colleagues and clients.
Mentor, support, and guide junior team members.
Share expertise and knowledge with less experienced staff.
Cultivate and manage strong client relationships.
Directly oversee junior staff on project-specific tasks and in the office setting.
Work alongside the Planning and EIA team and the BD & Sales Manager to identify and develop new business opportunities, maintaining positive client relationships.
Seek out and pursue new business relationships and growth opportunities.
Contribute to the development of sales and marketing strategies and activities.
Communicate any potential issues to line managers and clients in a timely manner.
Take accountability for project performance and delivery, demonstrating leadership throughout project completion.
