Job description
We are currently seeking a highly experienced Senior Grid Engineer to join a team that works on cutting-edge energy solutions for renewable projects across Europe. This is a fully remote position, and candidates must reside in Germany, France, Italy, Hungary, Sweden, Poland, or the UK. Fluency in one of the languages spoken in these countries is required.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement grid integration solutions for solar, wind, and battery storage projects, from conceptual design to execution.
Contribute to the engineering aspects of renewable energy projects, focusing on grid connections and substation development.
Perform engineering assessments to define technical specifications, design, drawings, scope of work, and CAPEX requirements.
Stay informed of European engineering standards, regulations, electrical systems, and grid operations norms.
Collaborate with Distribution and Transmission Network Operators (DNOs/TNOs) to secure grid connections.
Define, manage, and oversee external engineering services and technical contracts.
Apply engineering software tools, including PowerFactory and AutoCAD.
Continuously contribute to the improvement of engineering processes and practices.
Key Requirements:
University degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualifications and experience.
Minimum of 4 years of experience in electrical grid engineering, with a solid understanding of grid operations.
Strong problem-solving skills with a solution-oriented approach and the ability to make high-quality decisions.
Business fluency in English (C1 level or equivalent); additional fluency in any of the local languages of Germany, France, Italy, Hungary, Sweden, Poland, or the UK is advantageous.
Independent worker with strong teamwork skills.
