Job description
We're currently supporting one of our clients in hiring a Commercial Lead as they look to add to their ever-growing team.
The person will manage multiple commercial workstreams running M&A processes, leading negotiations for contracts (such as connection agreements, power purchase agreements etc) and supporting the development team in reaching its commercial aims, as they look to expand their Wind, Solar and BESS portfolio.
What you'll be doing:
Identify and pursue strategic M&A opportunities aligned with the company's growth objectives
Lead on preparation of financial models for BESS, Wind and Solar projects
Work closely with the SLT on the project sales strategy
Support the development team in identifying commercial risks throughout the project lifecycle, from origination through to sale
Stay up to day on market trends and regulatory developments to inform project strategy and decision-making
Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders including investors and financial institutions
Your profile:
Worked within a commercial role within the renewable energy sector, with a focus on solar, battery storage, and/or wind projects, ideally with 7+ years experience
Proven track record of successfully executing M&A transactions and structuring complex project finance deals.
Strong understanding of offtake agreements, power purchase agreements (PPAs), and other commercial contracts relevant to renewable energy projects.
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to assess market trends, financial risks, and opportunities.
