Job description
The client is a global advisory firm specializing in strategy and transactions within the renewable energy and cleantech sectors. Established in 2008 and headquartered in Berlin, the company supports businesses and investors in driving the energy transition. The client stands out through its high standards, distinctive culture, and deep technical expertise.
The Position
The client’s transaction advisory division is experiencing exceptional growth, necessitating increased capacity to support its global clients in achieving the energy transition.
They are seeking a Corporate Finance Associate with the ambition and capability to grow alongside the organization. The client values diversity and recruits predominantly from top-tier academic and professional backgrounds.
Bringing expertise in cleantech, the client requires your experience in transaction execution.
Based in their London office, you will work with leading global corporations, investment funds, and growth-stage companies on M&A and private capital market transactions.
This role involves close collaboration with the heads of M&A and Capital Advisory.
Most importantly, the client fosters a collaborative environment. London serves as the global hub for the firm’s transaction advisory and investment banking services. In this role, you will also provide support to their exceptional strategy consulting teams located in Berlin, Dubai, Paris, and London. This cross-functional collaboration broadens the scope of your work beyond transaction execution and immerses you in cutting-edge industry expertise that underpins the client’s success.
Your Profile
Cleantech expertise is not essential; what matters most is excellence in corporate finance. Experience in executing and structuring transactions is critical. Strong financial modelling skills are highly valued and occasionally necessary.
Typically, candidates hold an MBA or CFA and have 3–6 years of experience in corporate (not project) finance, gained at a reputable bank or boutique advisory firm. Exceptional performers from other industry teams who seek greater purpose and opportunity in the cleantech sector are encouraged to apply.
You possess a keen eye for detail, strong process management skills, and experience in asset, corporate, or equity transactions, along with a structured and organized approach.
You have fluent English communication skills, both verbal and written.
