Job title: Director of Capital Markets
Location: Houston, Texas, United States (Hybrid)
TGRC is working with a developer who is at the forefront of the sustainable fuel development space and is looking for a Director of Capital Markets to join the team. The firm owns an impressive proprietary technology to create carbon-negative fuels that can be used in the aviation sector.
As a result of their success, they've raised capital from a reputable clean energy investment fund to assist in constructing their first project and developing additional assets throughout the US. Experience in banking, oil & gas and/or renewables is a plus. For this role, you will be reporting to the CFO.
The position is perfect for a Senior Manager finance professional looking to step up into a Director role. This individual will also have oversight of leading project finance and capital initiatives.
Responsibilities:
Assist financial modeling, analysis, and due diligence activities as part of a deal team for project and portfolio acquisitions.
Work with complex project finance models for internal and external parties to evaluate energy storage projects and financing structures and ensure model assumptions are properly diligence and reflected.
The entire financing cycle of projects – structure, negotiate and close the transactions.
Prepare presentations for management and the board.
Oversee the loan and tax equity compliance activities as well as investor relations.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or economics.
4-8 years of project finance, investment banking, advisory, and/or other capital markets experience in renewable energy, power, or other infrastructure finance industries.
Hands-on experience performing financial analysis for U.S. renewable energy project financings and/or M&A transactions.
Successful track record of managing complex project finance, tax equity and M&A transactions from beginning to end
