Job title: Director of EPC
Location: United States (Remote)
TGRC is currently looking for a motivated Director of EPC with hands-on experience with large-scale battery energy storage projects.
Company Overview:
TGRC are working with a newly established renewable energy company that, with the investment from a private infrastructure firm, looking to become a leading BESS IPP.
They are in search of a Director of EPC, ideally with extensive expertise in overseeing processes across engineering, procurement, and construction. This position specifically demands proficiency in executing battery storage projects at the transmission level. The Director will take charge of various engineering, procurement, and construction processes, along with managing resources, to drive the company's development and operational projects. While a strong understanding of significant engineering concepts and processes is essential, being an engineer is not a prerequisite. The ideal candidate should possess a commercial mindset and hands-on experience in project development.
Primary Responsibilities:
Head EPC partnerships and lead negotiations.
Coordinate early-stage project schedule assumptions and allocate resources for execution stage projects.
Oversee strategic procurement processes to secure vital contracts and equipment, mitigating project schedule risks.
Take charge of techno-economic procurement evaluations.
Supervise resources dedicated to technical due diligence for new project concepts and M&A opportunities.
Manage relationships and scopes with technical engineering and consulting resources.
Qualifications and Skills:
Minimum of 6 years of experience in power plant development.
Proficient in transmission interconnection.
Hands-on experience with large-scale battery energy storage projects.
Blend of expertise in engineering, procurement, project management, and/or construction management.
Ability to delve into technical details when necessary and translate findings into commercial and financial outcomes.
Proactive and resourceful, capable of working independently in a small and efficient team.
Open-minded, collaborative, and skilled in seeking input when necessary.
Highly organized, excellent communication skills, and adept at conveying information succinctly.
