​Director of Financial Reporting

*Fixed Term Contract - 9 months

The Green Recruitment Company has partnered with a growing, well backed renewable IPP to support their search for a Director of Financial Reporting to sit in their Kansas City, MO office (also open to remote candidates able to travel to site monthly).This is a fixed term 9 month position.

The right candidate will have a background in accounting, financial reporting, FP&A, or related field. In this role, you will be responsible for month and year-end closing, forecasting, quarterly reviews, and risk analysis. You will also be responsible for leading the financial reporting team and supporting/training junior team members.

Responsibilities:

• Consolidation of financial statements for internal and external use, ensuring financial reporting package is complete and accurate.

• Preparation of quarterly and annual reporting to the SEC.

• Responsible for research of accounting principles and regulations.

• Work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure quarterly and year-end financial statements are presented in accordance with GAAP and SEC standards.

• Assist with quarterly and year-end audit review.

Qualifications:

• BA/BS in Business, Finance, or Accounting.

• 8+ years of relevant work experience, preference for CPA.

• Experience in the renewable energy sector preferred but not required.

• Extensive knowledge of U.S. GAAP, technical accounting and financial reporting standards.
