Our Client is a leading engineering consultancy specializing in site investigation and geotechnical services across the United Kingdom. With a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions to our clients, we are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Site Investigation Engineering Geologist to join our dynamic team.
Responsibilities:
Site Investigation Planning:
Develop comprehensive site investigation plans in collaboration with project managers, ensuring alignment with client requirements and industry standards.
Conduct thorough desk studies to gather relevant geological and environmental information.
Field Work:
Execute on-site investigations, including soil and rock sampling, borehole logging, and geophysical surveys.
Oversee drilling operations and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
Conduct geological mapping and provide real-time analysis of subsurface conditions.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
Analyze laboratory test results and field data to generate accurate geological and geotechnical reports.
Prepare detailed technical reports highlighting key findings, interpretations, and recommendations.
Client Interaction:
Collaborate with clients to understand project requirements and communicate findings effectively.
Provide expert advice and recommendations based on geological assessments.
Quality Assurance:
Ensure that site investigation activities comply with relevant industry standards and health and safety regulations.
Implement quality control measures to guarantee the accuracy and reliability of data.
Team Collaboration:
Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including engineers and environmental specialists, to integrate geological data into overall project design and planning.
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Geology, Geological Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
Proven experience in site investigation and engineering geology, with a minimum of [X] years in a similar role.
Knowledge of UK geology and familiarity with relevant standards and regulations.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient in the use of geological software and data analysis tools.
