Job Title: Grid Operation & Commissioning Expert
Location: Tabuk Region (On-site)
My client is seeking a seasoned professional to join us as a Utility – Grid Operation & Commissioning Expert. The ideal candidate will serve as the overall commissioning expert, proficient in commissioning Utility-Scale Renewables Power Generation Plants (1 GW and above), in Wind, Solar PV, and Battery Energy Storage (BESS) integration into large Utility Grids.
TGRC is working with a client who is committed to leading the global transition towards sustainable energy solutions. They specialize in delivering projects for utility-scale wind Power Plants, Solar Power Plants, and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee Unit commissioning for Renewable Generation Assets, Grid Assets, and associated Control Centers.
Ensure smooth integration into Utility and operation as a Large Micro Grid with connection to EHV Grid.
Analyze scenarios and develop commissioning plans aligned with Utility Interconnection Protocols.
Understand local Utility Grid Code requirements and develop commissioning plans accordingly.
Coordinate with internal teams, clients, and consultants to ensure technical alignment and smooth commissioning processes.
Maintain comprehensive documentation of commissioning activities and operational procedures.
Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Electrical Power Systems.
Minimum of 20 years of proven experience in Utility Grid operation, Monitoring, and Control, with expertise in Wind, Solar, and BESS.
Experience with Utility Grid Operation in Europe/North America is advantageous.
Proficiency in tools like PSS/e, DIGSILENT, and PSCAD.
Strong problem-solving abilities and project management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
