Job description
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and versatile Head of Asset Management to establish and lead our asset management organization as our energy storage projects enter the operational phase. In this pivotal role, you will ensure the optimal performance and profitability of our assets, interfacing with various internal departments and external stakeholders. You will define our asset management strategy, build and lead a team of skilled professionals, and develop processes and procedures to ensure safe and efficient site operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Establish Asset Management Function:
Set up and lead the technical and commercial asset management function for all operational energy storage projects, building an efficient international team.
Develop Strategies and Processes:
Create and implement asset management strategies, processes, and routines to maximize portfolio performance.
Health, Safety, and Environmental Standards:
Ensure state-of-the-art health, safety, and environmental practices at all sites, including establishing electrical safety routines.
Quality and Supplier Management:
Oversee quality assurance, requirements, and guarantees with all suppliers during operations.
Contract Management:
Maintain land lease contracts, licenses, and other relevant agreements.
Stakeholder Relations:
Build and maintain strong relationships with regulatory bodies, local communities, and partners.
Financial and Operational Reporting:
Oversee budgeting and financial reporting for the portfolio, acting as the primary interface with co-investors during project operations.
Continuous Improvement:
Drive initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs, while monitoring and influencing industry standards and regulatory developments.
Handover Process:
Define and implement an efficient handover process from construction to operations in collaboration with the Head of Construction.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
Work with internal teams to ensure knowledge sharing from the operational phase to the broader organization.
Qualifications:
Education:
University degree in a relevant field, complemented by industry experience.
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience.
Leadership:
Strong leadership skills with experience in building and leading teams.
Language Skills:
Fluent in English; fluency in Swedish is a plus.
Asset Management:
Experience in a similar role within asset management, particularly in renewable energy or electrical infrastructure, is highly desirable.
Safety Certification:
ESA certification and experience setting up safety protocols based on ESA is a plus.
