​My client are a leading renewable energy developer focused on accelerating the transition to a sustainable future through innovative energy projects. They are seeking an experienced Head of Commercial to lead their efforts across multiple commercial workstreams including investments, project finance, contract management, and offtakes.

Role Overview:

The Head of Commercial will oversee all commercial functions, including investment strategy, financing, contract negotiation, and securing offtake agreements. This is a key leadership role requiring expertise in renewable energy markets and a strong track record in managing complex commercial deals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Investment & Deal Structuring:

  Lead investment strategy, structuring, and negotiations of equity/debt investments, joint ventures, and partnerships.

• Project Finance:

  Manage financial modeling, project funding, and ensure successful financial close with stakeholders.

• Contract Management:

  Negotiate and manage key contracts (EPC, PPAs, O&M), ensuring risk mitigation and alignment with company objectives.

• Offtake Agreements:

  Lead the strategy and negotiation of PPAs and long-term offtake agreements to ensure revenue stability.

• Leadership:

  Manage and develop a high-performing commercial team, ensuring cross-functional collaboration for project success.

• Market Strategy:

  Provide market insights and strategic direction to the executive team.

Qualifications:

• 10+ years in a commercial leadership role in renewable energy, with expertise in investments, project finance, and contract management.

• Proven track record of managing large-scale projects from development to financial close.

• Strong understanding of renewable energy markets and financing structures.

• Excellent negotiation, communication, and leadership skills.
