Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Advisor Position Available on Hitra, Norway

Job Description

TGRC is currently seeking a professional HSE Advisor for an immediate start on a significant onshore wind farm project located on the island of Hitra, Norway. This role offers a 9-month contract with a daily rate of €500, designed for a seasoned individual who brings a robust background in HSE management within similar environments. The successful candidate will join a team dedicated to maintaining and enhancing safety standards in a renewable energy setting.

Responsibilities

  • Safety Management: Enforce and oversee strict safety protocols and standards on the wind farm.

  • Risk Analysis: Systematically assess potential risks and formulate strategies to mitigate identified hazards.

  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all operations comply with both local and international HSE laws and guidelines.

  • Educational Programs: Develop and deliver comprehensive safety training to staff, fostering a proactive culture of safety.

  • Incident Response: Manage the response to safety incidents, including detailed investigations and reporting.

  • Policy Enhancement: Contribute to the ongoing development and refinement of HSE practices and procedures.

Required Qualifications

  • A minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience in HSE roles, preferably within the onshore wind energy sector.

  • Essential certifications in Health and Safety (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, or other recognized qualifications).

  • Demonstrated knowledge of current industry standards and safety regulations.

  • Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.

Location

The position is located on Hitra, an island renowned for its commitment to renewable energy projects and its vibrant natural ecosystem.

Compensation

  • Contract Term: 9 months, with the possibility of extension based on project requirements and performance.

  • Remuneration: €500 per day, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
