Job description
Our client is a vertically integrated solar developer that controls all stages of a solar project in-house, creating affordable, low-risk solar power for corporate, institutional and utility partners. Our 14 GW pipeline is one of the largest in the US with over 1 GW already installed.
Responsibilities:
Support generator interconnection and transmission planning-related activities
Manage the generation interconnection process for utility-scale solar and energy storage projects, including pre-application feasibility analysis, interconnection application submission, interconnection study and agreement process, construction milestone management, and interconnection invoice payment tracking.
Prospect optimal points of interconnection based on market research and technical analyses.
Review and verify interconnection study results.
Coordinate with Land Acquisition, Engineering, Permitting, EPC, and Operations teams to develop a strong pipeline of solar and energy storage projects.
Provide technical support for project acquisition activities.
Participate in RTO/ISO Generation Interconnection and other stakeholder forums and inform executive management of industry changes and trends.
Manage consultant and other service provider activities. Manage interconnection project accounts.
Requirements:
BS in Electrical Engineering
Experience with power flow studies
Working knowledge of TARA preferred
Understanding of fundamental analysis preferred
Familiar with RTO/ISO interconnection process and tariff requirements
RTO/ISO experience preferred (PJM, MISO, NYISO)
Travel up to 25%
