Job description

​Our client is a vertically integrated solar developer that controls all stages of a solar project in-house, creating affordable, low-risk solar power for corporate, institutional and utility partners. ​ Our 14 GW pipeline is one of the largest in the US with over 1 GW already installed.

Responsibilities:

  • Support generator interconnection and transmission planning-related activities

  • Manage the generation interconnection process for utility-scale solar and energy storage projects, including pre-application feasibility analysis, interconnection application submission, interconnection study and agreement process, construction milestone management, and interconnection invoice payment tracking.

  • Prospect optimal points of interconnection based on market research and technical analyses.

  • Review and verify interconnection study results.

  • Coordinate with Land Acquisition, Engineering, Permitting, EPC, and Operations teams to develop a strong pipeline of solar and energy storage projects.

  • Provide technical support for project acquisition activities.

  • Participate in RTO/ISO Generation Interconnection and other stakeholder forums and inform executive management of industry changes and trends.

  • Manage consultant and other service provider activities. Manage interconnection project accounts.

Requirements:

  • BS in Electrical Engineering

  • Experience with power flow studies

  • Working knowledge of TARA preferred

  • Understanding of fundamental analysis preferred

  • Familiar with RTO/ISO interconnection process and tariff requirements

  • RTO/ISO experience preferred (PJM, MISO, NYISO)

  • Travel up to 25%
