Job description
My client, a growing renewable energy IPP are looking for a Manager, Capital Markets to join the lean finance team. They specialize in developing owning and operating solar and battery storage projects in the C&I space. The team are based in Houston and NYC – with this role open to being based in either location.
The CFO is looking for an individual to support project financing, tax equity deals, capital origination and other corporate initiatives as the company rapidly grows. The Capital Markets Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of financial activities related to capital raising, financing strategies, and investor relations. This role requires a deep understanding of capital markets, financial analysis, and a strong network within the financial community.
Key Job Responsibilities
Develop and execute capital raising strategies to support growth initiatives, focusing on debt and tax equity financing options.
Structure, negotiate, and execute documents for new financing transactions.
Manage relationships with financial institutions, investors, and stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
Conduct financial analysis, due diligence, and risk assessment for potential financing opportunities.
Prepare comprehensive financial models, presentations, and proposals for internal and external stakeholders.
Support corporate development activities through updating and maintenance of the corporate financial model.
Monitor market trends and regulatory developments to optimize financing strategies and ensure compliance.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including legal, accounting, and project management to support financing transactions and corporate development.
Serve as a key point of contact for investor inquiries and maintain strong investor relations.
Provide strategic guidance and recommendations to senior management on capital structure and financial decisions.
Prepare regular reports and presentations on capital markets activities and financial performance.
Coach and mentor more junior members of the Capital Markets team.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field or other analytical field (e.g., Engineering) (Master’s degree preferred).
Proven experience in financial capital markets, investment banking, corporate finance, or related fields within the renewable energy or infrastructure sectors.
Strong understanding of financial modeling and analysis, valuation techniques, and capital markets trends.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
Proactive attitude with a demonstrated ability to drive results and meet deadlines.
Professional certification such as CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) is a plus.
