About the Role

TGRC is partnering with a prestigious Venture Capital Organisation in their search for a seasoned Managing Director - Investment. This high-impact role, based in Shanghai, is central to driving the company's investment strategy in the rapidly growing renewable energy sector.

Key Responsibilities

As the Managing Director - Investment, you will:

• Strategic Leadership: Define and implement the investment strategy for renewable energy, ensuring alignment with the company’s long-term goals and market opportunities.

• Portfolio Management: Oversee the management of a diverse portfolio of renewable energy investments, driving value creation and maximizing returns.

• Deal Origination: Identify and evaluate new investment opportunities in the renewable energy sector, conducting thorough due diligence and financial analysis.

• Negotiation and Execution: Lead negotiations on deal terms, structuring, and closing of transactions, ensuring favorable outcomes for the organization.

• Market Analysis: Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies within the renewable energy sector, using this knowledge to inform investment decisions.

• Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with investors, partners, and industry stakeholders, representing the organization at key industry events and meetings.

• Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of investment professionals, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and collaboration within the organization.

Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidate will possess:

• Extensive Experience: A minimum of 10 years of experience in investment management, with a strong focus on renewable energy.

• Educational Background: A degree in finance, economics, or a related field, with an MBA or equivalent qualification being advantageous.

• Industry Expertise: In-depth knowledge of the renewable energy sector, including key market drivers, technologies, and regulatory environments.

• Proven Track Record: Demonstrated success in leading and executing large-scale investments, with a strong network of industry contacts.

• Leadership Skills: Exceptional leadership and team management capabilities, with the ability to inspire and drive a high-performing team.

• Language Proficiency: Fluency in English is required, with proficiency in Mandarin being a significant advantage.

Compensation

The successful candidate will receive a competitive monthly salary of 100,000 CNY, reflective of their experience and the critical nature of the role.
