Job Title: Photovoltaic Prospecting Project Manager (Paris, Nantes, or Montpellier)
Company Overview:
A leading renewable energy company focused on developing solar and onshore wind power projects. The company partners with local authorities to expand its renewable energy solutions in France. Following a recent acquisition by an international firm, the company is positioned for further growth in the market.
Role Objective:
The Solar Prospecting Project Manager will be responsible for identifying and securing new solar energy development opportunities, managing feasibility studies, and ensuring successful land negotiations and stakeholder engagement for project development.
Key Responsibilities:
Opportunity Identification: Utilize cartographic and technical tools to identify new project sites. Conduct market analysis to target optimal locations for solar and agrivoltaic projects. Manage relationships with local land agents and business partners.
Feasibility Studies: Oversee technical, environmental, regulatory, and economic assessments to evaluate project viability. Manage external consultants for these studies, including negotiating contracts.
Land Negotiations: Establish relationships with landowners and relevant stakeholders to secure land agreements. Handle commercial and legal negotiations to finalize contracts, including the preparation of tenders for competitive bids.
Community Engagement: Manage local outreach efforts, including organizing public information meetings and consultations with local authorities and communities to build support for projects. Develop communication strategies and tools to enhance project acceptance.
Project Transition: Facilitate internal processes for investment approval, including preparing business plans and technical analyses. Support development project managers to ensure a seamless transition from prospecting to project development.
Team Support: Provide guidance to other project managers in areas such as land negotiations and community consultations.
Desired Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree (engineering, renewable energy, or related field) with a minimum of 3 years of experience in solar project prospecting, renewable energy, real estate, or industrial development.
Strong technical knowledge, including proficiency with GIS tools (QGIS) and project management software (Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project).
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with a proactive and resilient approach to challenges.
French fluency is required, with English proficiency preferred.
