Job description

​Our client is a renewables company that delivers 100% green power through multiple technologies across several geographies. Their purpose is to create sustainable value from the sun, wind and forests, for the benefit of society, shareholders and employees.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identification of land available for new development wind and/or photovoltaic projects.

  • Assessment of technical and regulatory constraints, and integration into a Quantum GIS-type geographic information system with or without the support from a cartographer or geomatician.

  • You create the maps necessary for your prospecting and land security.

  • Creation of presentations (including maps, photomontages, sections topographical…) necessary for meeting local elected officials, owners and land operators with the support, if necessary, of our cartographer.

  • Negotiation with local elected officials in order to build a territorial project.

  • Development of institutional and commercial relations with networks of local contacts likely to bring new opportunities (elected officials, administrations, associations, agencies, individuals, etc.).

  • Conducting negotiations with land owners, as well as farmers with the aim of securing plots

  • All activities are necessary for the advancement of projects from the start of the development until work starts.

To succeed in the role, you will have:

  • (Bachelor's or Master's degree, engineering school, DESS, Master's degree, or business school).

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in the development of wind projects and/or photovoltaic are essential, 5 years is preferable.

  • You master the Q-GIS tool (or equivalent) and have successful experience acquired from an operator or a design office in the in-depth study of technical and administrative constraints of a wind project and/or photovoltaic.

  • Mastery of town planning rules, legal notions of land, good knowledge of the regional environment and the ability to quickly analyze the potential of a land in order to study the feasibility of an operation from a point of technical and administrative view are assets.

  • Languages: French mother tongue, proficiency in English is an asset.

  • Driving license: Essential
