Project Manager, Grid Infrastructure, Renewable Energy
Job Overview
We are actively seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead a dynamic team within an Independent Connection Provider (ICP) specializing in renewable energy grid infrastructure projects. This role is pivotal in managing the design and execution of electrical connections, ensuring timely and budget-compliant delivery of projects.
Responsibilities
Project Leadership: Oversee the planning, execution, and finalization of projects related to electrical grid connections for renewable energy sources.
Resource Management: Allocate resources appropriately to ensure project completion, managing timelines, budgets, and material requirements.
Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as the primary point of contact for all project stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies, ensuring clear communication and effective resolution of issues.
Compliance and Quality Assurance: Ensure all project activities comply with legal regulations, safety standards, and quality specifications. Implement rigorous testing and validation processes.
Risk Management: Identify potential risks related to project execution and take proactive steps to mitigate them.
Reporting: Provide comprehensive project reporting and documentation for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring transparency and timely communication of project status and milestones.
Requirements
Proven track record as a Project Manager in grid infrastructure projects, preferably within an ICP environment.
Strong technical understanding of electrical engineering, particularly in grid connections and renewable energy systems.
Excellent organizational, leadership, and decision-making skills.
Ability to manage complex projects and multi-disciplinary teams.
Relevant qualifications in Project Management and/or Electrical Engineering.
Accreditation with relevant professional bodies (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is highly desirable.
Contract Details
Duration: 12-month contract
Location: Based in Cheshire
Compensation: Day rate of £500
