​QA/QC Manager - Utility Scale Solar PV - South Carolina

Job Overview

TGRC is excited to offer a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a seasoned QA/QC Manager in the rapidly expanding field of utility-scale solar PV projects, located in South Carolina. This position is a 12-month contract with a competitive hourly rate of $60-$80, perfect for a professional dedicated to upholding the highest standards of quality and compliance in renewable energy projects.

Responsibilities

  • Quality Assurance Leadership: Develop, implement, and oversee quality assurance policies and procedures tailored to solar PV construction. Ensure that all project phases align with industry best practices and quality standards.

  • Quality Control Management: Conduct detailed inspections and coordinate audits to identify and resolve quality issues. Implement corrective actions to address deficiencies and prevent recurrence.

  • Documentation and Compliance: Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of all quality checks, audits, corrective actions, and compliance issues. Ensure all documentation is ready for audits and stakeholder reviews.

  • Team Supervision and Development: Lead a team of quality control specialists, providing guidance and training to ensure their skills and knowledge are current with industry standards.

  • Safety and Regulatory Adherence: Ensure the project complies with all relevant safety and health regulations, promoting a safe work environment.

Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum 3-5 years in a QA/QC role, preferably within the construction or renewable energy sector, with specific experience in solar energy projects.

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related technical field.

  • Certifications: Relevant Health & Safety qualifications are required; additional certifications in Quality Management (e.g., ISO 9001) are highly desirable.

  • Skills: Strong analytical skills, meticulous attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities. Proven leadership and team management experience.

Compensation
