Job description
The Construction Manager is responsible for leading the region and overseeing all projects within it, managing relationships with authorities, utilities, and contractors. This role involves coordinating the efforts of Field Engineers and ensuring corporate goals are met while developing long-term regional plans. Project sizes range from 7mw -168mw.
Key responsibilities include:
Ensuring timely project completion with a strong focus on Safety and Quality.
Providing technical support to Field Engineers, offering construction alternatives for complex issues.
Leading regular meetings with engineers, contractors, utilities, and other stakeholders.
Collaborating closely with utilities to establish project interconnection requirements and processes.
Liaising with contractors and local authorities to secure necessary licenses and permits.
Implementing rigorous quality control measures through visual inspections, site tours, and checklist completion.
Ensuring projects adhere to schedule and addressing issues that may cause delays.
Ensuring compliance with company specifications and plans.
Identifying, managing, and mitigating risk factors to ensure smooth construction progress.
Additional responsibilities include:
Interpreting drawings and specifications as needed.
Distributing technical construction data and supporting documentation.
Reviewing contractor progress reports and updating project milestones.
Reviewing testing and witness records.
Developing checklist and inspection report templates.
Writing procedures and ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
Participating in meetings with Business Development, Due Diligence, and Technical Offices.
This position requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders to successfully execute construction projects while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and compliance
