Job description
TGRC has partnered with a leading multi-energy company aiming to have at least 10 GW of wind and solar capacity ready for construction by 2030 across Europe is seeking a Senior Project Development Manager for Wind and Solar to support its rapid growth in France.
Key Responsibilities:
Development of the Wind & Solar Projects / Portfolio:
Ensure the maximum number of megawatts (MW) under development reach the ready-to-build (RTB) stage.
Lead the management of portfolio projects, whether co-developed with partners or initiated internally by the Origination team, ensuring all development milestones are met successfully, on time, and within budget.
For internally developed projects, oversee the entire development process from land acquisition to RTB stage, ensuring proper integration into the local area, consultation with various local stakeholders, and the initiation and monitoring of necessary studies.
Proactively address issues encountered by partners and developers, utilizing both internal and external resources to resolve problems promptly.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date reporting on project development to enable top management to make informed decisions.
Secure timely approvals from management to ensure positive project progress.
Monitor and implement payment processes.
Actively support the Origination team in evaluating the quality of potential new projects and land acquisitions.
Due Diligence and Portfolio Acquisition / Partnership Negotiation:
Actively contribute to due diligence for portfolio acquisitions and partnership negotiations, utilizing your expertise in Solar and Wind project permitting to effectively evaluate portfolio quality.
Key Skills:
At least 7 years of experience in a similar role.
Fluent in French and English; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
Comprehensive and up-to-date knowledge of project development steps, including permitting, land contracts, and grid connection.
Continuous improvement mindset.
Proven track record in the development and/or acquisition of utility-scale solar and wind projects, as well as co-development partnerships.
Ability to manage teams in a matrix structure (management by influence).
Strong project management skills with meticulous attention to detail and deadlines.
Ability to implement and maintain project management tools to ensure accurate reporting on all aspects of the project, including development status and cash flow plans.
Strong communication skills: able to effectively communicate needs and objectives to a cross-functional team in an international and multicultural environment.
Excellent presentation skills, both oral and written.
Willingness to travel and work in a diverse, multicultural team.
Driving license required.
