Job description
A Global Wind Turbine Manufacturer, IPP & EPC.
Responsibilities
This role is the highest authority on-site to ensure that all project on-site activities comply with general company QHSE regulations and specific QHSE regulations for construction sites.
Manage construction activities to meet the deadline, cost, quality, safety and environmental requirements.
Manage the relationship with the customer at the site level in alignment with the Project Manager (PM). Ensure compliance on the execution of customer and subcontractors’ contracts and other relevant stakeholders on the project.
Contract and relationship management with subcontractors, suppliers and service providers, delivering their scope of work on-site.
Coordinate the team on-site to deliver the scope of work.
Manage site-related activities during the execution readiness process.
Report internally according to the Governance plan.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree, B-Tech Degree or National Diploma in Engineering or related discipline.
Other degrees will be considered providing extensive experience in the wind industry (5 to 7 years)
3 - 5 years’ experience in site management
Construction Regulation 8.1 appointment (essential)
Demonstrated ability to successfully complete large-scale projects, managing multidisciplinary teams
Commercial and contract management experience. If involved in disputes, litigation and arbitration are a plus.
Good English communication skills – speak, read and write
Safety-Walk & Talk training
Basic Turbine installation training
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
Ability to be trained on internal IT systems and tools e.g., SAP; BIC; Upvise; ServiceNow; Campus; NX Translator; Windchill; Team Center; Webinar; Quentic; CEIS; etc.
Operational Departments' scope and documents issued (INPUT & OUTPUT) like the Logistic Plan, MBOM, OP, etc.
ECSA, PMI or SACPCMP registration is preferred but not required
