About the Role:

We are seeking a professional and dedicated Site Manager to oversee a major Solar PV construction project in Offaly, Ireland. This role is crucial in ensuring the successful delivery of a high-profile renewable energy initiative, contributing significantly to sustainable development.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Project Management:

    • Coordination: Oversee and manage all on-site activities, ensuring the project is executed according to plan. This includes scheduling, resource allocation, and task delegation.

    • Timeline Adherence: Ensure the project remains on schedule, meeting all critical deadlines and milestones.

    • Budget Management: Monitor project expenditures to stay within budget, making cost-effective decisions without compromising quality.

  2. Team Leadership:

    • Supervision: Lead a team of professionals, including subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring effective collaboration and productivity.

    • Training and Development: Provide guidance and training to team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.

  3. Health & Safety Compliance:

    • Regulation Adherence: Enforce strict adherence to health and safety regulations, ensuring all site activities comply with legal and company standards.

    • Risk Management: Identify potential risks and implement measures to mitigate them, promoting a safe working environment for all personnel.

  4. Stakeholder Communication:

    • Reporting: Maintain clear and regular communication with all project stakeholders, including clients, engineers, and senior management.

    • Updates: Provide detailed progress reports and updates, ensuring stakeholders are informed and engaged throughout the project lifecycle.

    • Problem-Solving: Address any issues or concerns raised by stakeholders promptly and effectively.

  5. Quality Control:

    • Inspections: Conduct regular site inspections to ensure work meets specified quality standards and contractual requirements.

    • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive records of all inspections, audits, and quality checks, ensuring transparency and accountability.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Proven Experience: At least 5 years of experience as a Site Manager, specifically within the Solar PV construction sector.

  • Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of Solar PV construction processes, technologies, and best practices.

  • Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a diverse team, driving performance and achieving project goals.

  • Health & Safety Knowledge: Strong understanding of health and safety regulations, with a proven track record of maintaining safe work environments.

  • Excellent Communication: Superior communication and interpersonal skills, capable of liaising effectively with all levels of stakeholders.
