Job description
Our client is seeking a passionate Storage Engineer to join our team and play a crucial role in the technical delivery of high-value assessments and projects within the energy sector. If you have strong expertise in Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), infrastructure electrification, and a solid understanding of electrical systems, this is an exciting opportunity for you to lead and collaborate on innovative projects at the forefront of the decarbonisation movement.
As a Storage Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting BESS and electric mobility projects, ensuring safety, conducting risk assessments, and leading due diligence studies. You will manage multi-disciplinary teams, work with clients globally, and contribute to the evolution of our team with your leadership and technical expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and contribute to multi-disciplinary teams on major BESS and charging infrastructure projects, including due diligence, technical, and commercial assessments.
Provide risk management and fire safety
support for BESS projects, including safety audits and market risk analysis.
Collaborate with stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and funding bodies, to drive successful project delivery.
Prepare and deliver technical reports, market analyses, and proposals to clients globally.
What You Will Bring:
Technical Experience: Demonstrable expertise in the electricity sector, including electrical systems, safety protocols, and BESS technology.
Project Management: Proven track record in managing large-scale projects, including multi-stakeholder environments and complex technical workstreams.
Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of emerging technologies in the electric mobility value chain, such as BESS, novel battery chemistries, and inductive charging.
Communication Skills: Ability to produce high-quality technical reports and engage with clients, contractors, and stakeholders.
Leadership: Experience leading teams and mentoring junior staff in technical and commercial aspects of projects.
Business Development: Strong commercial awareness and the ability to identify market opportunities and foster client relationships.
Preferred Qualifications:
Direct experience in BESS infrastructure deployment and electrification projects.
Experience working with international clients, including corporations, government agencies, and funding bodies.
A passion for sustainability and the decarbonisation of the energy sector.
