Job description
Our client is an international photovoltaic company with offices in seven countries. The group develops and delivers clean energy solutions based on photovoltaic systems across the entire value chain – from project development and financing, to construction, operation, maintenance, and energy management.

Responsibilities:
As part of the German development team, you will support BESS (Battery Energy Storage System) projects as a technical expert.
Evaluate stand-alone and co-located BESS (PV and BESS) projects at all voltage levels from a technical perspective.
Provide support throughout the entire permitting process and grid connection by liaising with internal and external technical and commercial teams (e.g., Transmission System Operators, Distribution System Operators, local authorities, and other external stakeholders).
Obtain grid connection offers for projects and design best-practice layouts to address specific project challenges (e.g., limited space, compliance with noise control regulations, fire safety concepts, etc.).
Provide technical due diligence information and reports for investors.
Support internal procurement, engineering, and contracting teams.
Profile:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, Environmental and Energy Technology, or a related field.
Strong technical expertise in battery technology, power electronics, energy management systems, and grid integration strategies.
Knowledge of modeling and simulation tools such as MATLAB/Simulink, ETAP, and Energy Storage System (ESS) software platforms.
Proven experience in the development, implementation, and optimization of Battery Energy Storage Systems, preferably in the renewable energy or utility sector.
Fluency in both German and English.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an eye for detail.
