The Green Recruitment Company is excited to announce a fantastic opportunity for a Field Service Engineer to join a leading team in the renewable energy sector, focusing on Utility Scale Solar PV Sites in Providence, Rhode Island. This 12-month contract offers an hourly rate between $35 and $45, depending on your experience, and is perfect for someone passionate about making a difference in the world of sustainable energy.

About the Role:

As a Field Service Engineer, you will be instrumental in the maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of large-scale solar PV installations. Your technical expertise will ensure these systems operate at peak efficiency, directly contributing to the sustainability goals of the region. This role involves significant hands-on work and problem-solving in various outdoor settings around Providence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct detailed inspections and preventive maintenance on solar PV systems to ensure optimal performance.

• Diagnose and repair faults in solar installations quickly and efficiently to minimize downtime.

• Monitor and analyze system performance and suggest improvements or modifications.

• Work collaboratively with project management teams to integrate best practices and innovations in field service operations.

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all service activities, including detailed reports and performance logs.

• Provide technical support and guidance to customers, ensuring they are informed and satisfied with the services provided.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Field Service Engineer, ideally within the solar energy or related renewable energy sector.

• Strong technical acumen with an ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues effectively.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a knack for clear and effective customer interaction.

• Flexibility to travel across the Providence area and adapt to variable outdoor environments.

• A technical degree or certification in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy Systems, or related fields is highly desirable.
