Job description

The Role:

  • Actively source and identify investment opportunities within the renewable energy sector, focusing on wind and solar projects in the CEE region, through market research, networking, and industry contacts

  • Perform comprehensive due diligence on potential investments, including financial analysis, modeling, operational reviews, and risk assessments. Present detailed investment proposals to the Investment Committee

  • Oversee the full lifecycle of direct equity investments, from structuring (debt and equity) and negotiations to closing deals in greenfield, repowering, and late-stage development assets across renewable energy and energy transition technologies in targeted CEE markets

  • Negotiate key contracts for projects in the CEE region, including SPA, O&M, TCMA, MSA, TSA, and EPC agreements

  • Work closely with asset management teams to drive operational improvements, strategic growth initiatives, and overall value creation

  • Monitor industry trends, competitive dynamics, and macroeconomic factors impacting traditional energy sectors

  • Engage with limited partners and stakeholders, offering insights on investment strategies and portfolio performance

  • Lead a team of Investment Management Associates and Analysts

The Person:

  • Strong expertise and experience in renewable energy, ideally within the CEE region

  • Proven experience in early and greenfield-stage renewable energy projects, preferably with a leading investment firm, strategic developer, IPP, or bank (buy-side)

  • A successful track record in direct alternative investments

  • Background in private equity

  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a results-driven approach

  • A degree in business, economics, finance, or another relevant investment-related field

  • Proficiency in business English; knowledge of a CEE region language is a plus
