Job description
As a Junior Engineer, you will be an integral part of my client's engineering team, focusing on the operation, maintenance, and optimization of anaerobic digestion (AD) facilities. You will gain hands-on experience in a dynamic environment, working with cutting-edge technology that converts organic waste into renewable energy and valuable by-products.
Key responsibilities:
Collaborate with the Operations team during the scoping of new projects, under the guidance of the Project Engineering Leader and Senior Process Engineer.
Work alongside Process Engineers to develop engineering deliverables and provide support for capital projects.
Assist Project Engineers during the commissioning phase of major projects.
Lead a process improvement project from the initial scope and design through to completion and handover to operations, with support from the engineering team.
Foster a positive safety culture and ensure all site activities comply with relevant Safety, Health, and Environmental (SHE) standards, in collaboration with the engineering team.

Hold a valid (preferably clean) driving license.
Possess excellent IT skills, with proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, and the ability to adapt to various ERP systems, including in-house platforms. Experience with Microsoft Project or similar tools is preferred.
Qualifications:
Essential: Degree in Chemical, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or similar A Level/ Baccalaureate /Scottish Highers - including Math’s; Chemistry; Biology
Desirable: Masters in Engineering
