TGRC partnered with a prominent Global Independent Power Producer (IPP) that is at the forefront of Australia's renewable energy revolution. This IPP is dedicated to developing, operating, and owning renewable energy projects that have a lasting positive impact on our environment. They are in search of a passionate and experienced Renewable Energy Project Planning and Permitting Manager to join their team on the East Coast.

Our client is looking to appoint a dynamic Renewable Energy Project Planning and Permitting Manager. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful development and operation of renewable energy projects in full compliance with regulatory requirements and permits. This position demands a comprehensive understanding of the Australian regulatory landscape, project planning, and adeptness in navigating intricate permitting processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Regulatory Compliance:

    Be the guardian of regulatory compliance for all renewable energy projects, ensuring adherence to local, state, and federal regulations, encompassing all necessary assessments and requirements.

  • Permitting:

    Lead the permitting process, expertly identifying the necessary permits, coordinating with government agencies, and driving timely approvals to keep projects on track.

  • Discharge Conditions:

    Ensure all discharge conditions are met as per regulatory and project-specific requirements, managing any related documentation and compliance measures.

  • Stakeholder Engagement:

    Foster collaboration with an array of internal and external stakeholders, including government agencies, organizations, and local communities, establishing transparent and positive relationships throughout the project life cycle.

  • Project Planning:

    Collaborate closely with project development teams to integrate permitting considerations into project planning and design.

  • Tender Proposals:

    Assist in the preparation and evaluation of tender proposals, ensuring they align with permitting requirements and project objectives.

  • Compliance Monitoring:

    Devise and implement monitoring programs to guarantee continuous compliance with permits and regulations.

  • Risk Management:

    Identify and address potential permitting risks, offering guidance to effectively mitigate these risks.

  • Reporting:

    Prepare comprehensive, regular reports for senior management, stakeholders, and regulatory authorities, providing insightful updates on the permitting status of projects.

  • Budget Management:

    Prudently oversee the budget for planning and permitting activities, ensuring cost-effective solutions without compromising regulatory compliance.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's or higher degree in project management, environmental science, environmental management, or a related field.

  • Proven experience in project planning and permitting roles within the renewable energy sector.

  • Profound knowledge of Australia's regulations and permitting processes.

  • Robust project management and organizational skills.

  • Exceptional communication and negotiation abilities.

  • Proficiency in both independent and collaborative work settings.

  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and an ability to adapt to evolving regulatory landscapes.

  • Experience with renewable energy technologies is an added advantage.
